Paragraph on Town Life and Village Life

The English poet, William Cowper, once finely said, "God made the country and man made the town".  This statement well suggests the origin of villages and towns.  The blossoming of man's civilization first took place in villages.  The village actually came first in the story of human civilization.  Afterwards came the town.  So the town was born out of the village.  Town life, of course, has charms to draw people.  Different amenities are available here.

The village has a calm and peaceful life.  But the din and bustle fill the town.  There are rest and contentment in one.  There are busy and noisy activities in the other.  Trams, buses and motor cars are in town life.  Peaceful meadows and green lands are in villages instead.
