Newspaper and its Importance
The newspaper has always been part and parcel of a literate man's life. Without it, even the morning tea tastes bitter, the day seems to have a very bad start! The newspaper brings the world to our door. It keeps abreast of the time and helps take an intelligent interest in the affairs of our own country as well as of the other. Newspapers cover each and every aspect of life of all the people of the world. A newspaper, thus, being one in all, creates a feeling of oneness among the people of the world-reduces the distances among the countries.
Newspaper plays an important role in democracy. It educates public and helps form public opinion. "People's parliament always in session", it voices the grievances of the people. A democratic government feels the pulse of the public through the honest criticism of the press. Therefore, being so important, newspapers should always play a positive and constructive role in the life of a nation.
